Every dollar stays at HHA
Money raised by the PTO has been used to buy playground equipment and learning materials, and to fund field trips and enrichment activities. Teachers, parents, and students can all request funding directly.
That's more than $86,000 raised in a single school year — all of it by parents, and all of it committed to Hampstead Hill Academy.
What the PTO funded last year
Totals are the easy part to report. Here's what they turned into.
Field trips
The PTO helps cover field trip costs so price isn't the reason a student stays behind. Last year that included the Leaders Go Places and Leaders Getting Ready reward trips and the 6th grade Outward Bound introduction.
Learning materials
Instructional materials and classroom supplies the school budget doesn't stretch to — requested directly by teachers and approved at open PTO meetings.
Playground support
The PTO funds playground supplies. HHA opened a new playground in 2026 — the school posted a video of it.
See the new playgroundEnrichment
In-school and afterschool activities: assemblies, clubs, and programs that widen what students get to try. Teachers, parents, and students can all request funding for classroom and afterschool activities.
Staff appreciation
The PTO leads the appreciation efforts that recognize the hard work of teachers and staff, including Teacher Appreciation Week and treats through the year.
Classroom wish list
The PTO Wishlist is how teachers receive items that enrich the classroom, facilitate instruction, or get used directly by students.
Request an itemDollar amounts by category will be published here after the treasurer's year-end report. In the meantime, treasurer reports are presented at every PTO meeting, and those meetings are open to everyone.
There's something happening most months
Fundraising is the visible part, but most of what the PTO does is give families reasons to be in the same room: morning coffee, movie nights, restaurant nights in the neighborhood, the Someone Special and Me dance, and the holiday social.
We also run teacher and staff appreciation, support new families, and keep the uniform swap going all year long.
