The PTO runs on parents who give a couple of hours. There is a job for 30 minutes and a job for the whole year, and everything in between.

Sorting by size, hanging, helping families find what they need, and packing up at the end. Good if you're short on time or prefer a quieter job.
Pick a shiftThere's a job for every amount of time
The most common reason people don't volunteer is thinking it means signing up for the whole year. It doesn't.
30 minutes
Bring food to a meeting. Hang flyers. Share a post. Fold uniforms at pickup.
One shift
Work a two-hour block at BeeFit, B3, the golf tournament, movie night, or the dance. Show up, help, leave.
One task
Call five businesses for donations. Design a flyer. Take photos at an event. Translate a communication into Spanish.
One whole event
Chair a committee. It's the biggest commitment and the fastest way to know everyone at HHA. We'll walk you through it.
Before you ask
Do I have to be a PTO member?
You already are. Every HHA parent, guardian, and staff member is a member of the PTO. There are no dues and no sign-up.
Do I need school clearance to volunteer?
For PTO events outside school hours, usually not. For classroom volunteering during the school day, the school has its own process — ask in the main office.
My English isn't strong. Can I still help?
Yes, and we need you. Plenty of our jobs don't involve much talking, and Spanish-speaking families who come to our events are far more comfortable when someone there speaks their language.
Can I bring my kids?
To most events, yes — they're family events. The exceptions are B3 (adults only) and some setup shifts. If you're not sure, just ask.
